Built for Florida's
hardest days.
When Milton's wind brought a construction crane down across a commercial building, the owner had hours to act before the insurance window closed. BlueSky mobilized a 60-plus-person recovery operation within 24 hours. This is what we did.
An open insurance window and a flooded commercial building.
Hurricane Milton passed through Florida's Gulf Coast in October 2024 with storm surge and prolonged rain that overwhelmed the envelope of a multi-floor commercial facility. Water damage ran across lobbies, corridors, carpeted office floors, and finished surfaces. Standing water was measured in multiple locations. The owner had an insurance window to work with, but only if the work was done, documented, and reopened on time.
The building needed a recovery partner capable of mobilizing a full operation within 24 hours, not a cleaning vendor asking for two weeks to staff up.
Full-scale commercial recovery, delivered as a single program.
BlueSky mobilized a 60-plus-person team and pre-staged equipment within the first operating cycle. The scope was written as a living document, revised daily, and tracked against the insurance timeline.
- 24-hour mobilization with pre-staged water-extraction equipment
- Multi-floor debris removal and haul-off
- Industrial dehumidification staged across affected floors
- Hot-water extraction on carpeted areas; strip & reseal on hard surfaces
- Envelope cleanup and exterior debris management
- Insurance-grade documentation, photo logs, service logs, daily reports
- Coordination with owner, insurer, and contractors
- Full reopening ahead of insurance deadline
The numbers the owner received.
Every case study we publish leads with numbers the client has approved. These are ours for this engagement.
